Cheese production on a South Tyrolean alpine pasture with the Milky Cheese & Multi-Purpose Vat
Last week, we completed a very special delivery: the Milky FJ 300 CT Cheese & Multi-Purpose Vat, including numerous options, was delivered to an alpine pasture in South Tyrol – at an impressive 1,700 m (5,577 ft) above sea level.
This model is specifically designed for cheese production and combines state-of-the-art technology with robust construction. At its core is a closed, three-wall stainless steel vat with chamber system. Heating is fully automatic, while cooling is handled via an integrated plate heat exchanger – ideal for precise temperature control throughout the cheesemaking process.
Equipped with two 9 kW heating elements, a movable console for the 3-piece cheese harp, and the option of Android app control, the vat meets even the highest professional requirements.
Our customer opted for an especially comprehensive configuration:
- Pneumatic tilting & lowering mechanism
- pH value measurement
- Dual temperature probes
- Dosing system for cultures
- Measuring rod for 300 liters (approx. 79 gallons)
- Android app control with Bluetooth module
Especially in an alpine environment, the combination of automation and mobility truly proves its value. The vat is mounted on a stainless steel base frame with optional castors, allowing for flexible use on site.
